About the WRA Middle School Art Program:

At West Ridge Academy we are invested in a TAB Art Curriculum. TAB stands for teaching for artistic behavior. The goal of TAB is to get students thinking and acting like artists within a studio environment. Students are expected to ideate, plan, create, and reflect on their artwork. They are frequently taught new techniques, exposed to use new materials, and shown relevant and thought-provoking works of art from our Core Knowledge Curriculum. At WRA our students are encouraged to pursue their interests in the art room in order to create artwork that is personally meaningful. They are also emboldened to try new techniques and materials or pursue new content within their art.
